Questions to ask the school

  1. Can you support a child with my child's specific need (e.g. dyslexia, ADHD, autism), and have you done so this year? Ask for concrete examples.
  2. Is there an additional fee for learning support or EAL — and how much per year?
  3. Is learning support guaranteed for the full enrolment, or can it be withdrawn later?

Special needs staff

Our Learning Pathway programmes start in Nursery from the age of 3 and continue all the way through school until the students are 18 years old. The curriculum is closely aligned to the English National Curriculum but with appropriate adaptions made to meet the needs of the individual student. We offer personalised routes for students who are unable to meet the outcomes expected for GCSE and the IBDP, where the students either sit fewer exams or follow routes that focus on English, maths, life skills and employability, through the ASDAN curriculum.

ESL / EAL support

Students who do not speak English as their first language can access additional support through our English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme up to, and including, Year 9. English levels are measured by using assessments that link to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) so that we can best meet the needs of each student. The students are assessed in their speaking, listening, reading and writing proficiency in English and the scores determine the level of support needed.
