SIS provides the following support for students with mild learning needs: Individual learning plans prepared by teachers and the counselor. Small-group instruction for English, Japanese, or math. Extra time for some assignments or tests when needed. Regular meetings with parents to follow progress. Behavior and emotional support from the school counselor. For students with severe needs, we cooperate with external professional centers for further assessment and support.
For mild or slight learning support, our classroom teachers, together with the school counselor, can provide help inside the classroom. For severe learning needs, we guide parents to specialized centers in Sapporo, as SIS does not yet have full-time special-needs specialists.
