Internal Support: - Inclusive support with differentiated instruction in the general education classrooms for all students - Students with learning needs have an ILP (Individualised Learning Plan) - ILP contains accommodations and strategies for classroom/subject teachers - ILP contains provisions for assessments and exams - Families & students can contact SENCO when they need help or concerns emerge External support: Specialist Support through a vetted data base of external therapists such as speech and language, reading, occupational therapy, behavioural therapy, etc. (local resources and online through Linden)
RIS is an inclusive school. A Special Educational Needs Coordinator is available to offer parental interviews and consultation to ensure support is given to students with Special Learning needs.
