Specialist teachers and Learning Support Assistants work closely with class and subject teachers to devise a programme to suit the individual child. Sometimes support is only required for a short time; in other instances, assistance can be on-going over an extended period. Pupils felt to be underachieving for any reason are also routinely assessed by the Learning Support Department.
