Inclusivity is enshrined in Sunmarke’s ethos where we welcome a diverse range of learners from EYFS to Secondary. The Achievement Centre takes the lead in providing an inclusive education to students in close collaboration with parents, teachers and external specialists. To facilitate the successful participation and progress of all learners, a range of additional provisions, subject to staffing and availability, are offered at no extra cost. They include, but are not limited to: Interventions for literacy Interventions for mathematics Speaking and listening Social skills Motor skills Directed studies Extra-curricular activities specific to students with SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities)

At Sunmarke, we exercise a positive and inclusive admissions policy. Candidates will each be given due consideration on a case-by-case basis, and we will take into account the capacity of the premises, staff, and curriculum pathways to effectively meet the needs of the individual. Our Achievement Centre offers a broad range of additional support for students with SEND, including targeted support in language, maths, literacy, and functional independence. We are currently working to develop our range of alternative curriculum pathways for Key Stages 2, 3, and 4 so that, in time, we can offer an appropriate pathway for every learner.

English is the language of instruction at Sunmarke. For Year 2 to 9 students who require support and for whom English is not the first language, Sunmarke provides English language support and remedial classes. ‘Intensive support’ to develop age-appropriate English language skills may also be offered (at the school's option as per the capacity available in the Individual Needs Department).

Yes, Sunmarke has two state-of-the-art dining halls offering outside catering services at an additional charge. One dining hall for Primary and the other exclusively for Secondary. Foundation years typically have two snack breaks a day which are taken in the classrooms. We understand the important role that health and nutrition play in a student’s overall wellbeing and therefore, encourage healthy eating habits from an early age. We have a bright and spacious cafeteria where students can enjoy healthy food options, socialise, and deepen their friendships. They can opt for pre-packaged food in environment-friendly packs as well. We also provide Grab & Go snacks for them.

Yes, our school is committed to catering to the diverse dietary needs of our students. We offer a variety of alternative food options, including vegan, kosher, and halal meals, to ensure that every student has access to nutritious and appropriate meals that align with their dietary preferences or requirements.
