Our Inclusion department, led by the Head of Inclusion, supports the additional learning needs of students who are identified as Able, Gifted and Talented (AGT), who are early stage or new English learners (EAL), and who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). Support is differentiated according to each student’s needs and ongoing assessments provide timely information about any further provision that is needed. We also have Primary and Secondary School Counsellors who work with students to address any barriers to their positive mental health and emotional wellbeing.
GIS provides English as an Additional Language (EAL) to support Early, Primary and Middle Years students. It is a prominent part of the school’s provision, with a key focus on assisting students in becoming proficient in English.

During lunch, a selection of healthy hot and cold food is available to purchase from Primary and Secondary canteens using a pre-paid electronic card. Students in Pre-K to KG2 must sign up for the meal subscription as they will not visit the canteen itself. Students may bring a home-packed balanced and healthy snack and lunch to school, following the healthy policy.
All food offered at the school canteens is halal, and vegetarian options are available.
